Nieve Lomas, First Aid Instructor and Program Co-ordinator for Vantage First Aid & CPR Solutions (VFA) has been with VFA from the start. As a dedicated first aider, Nieve has over 9 years of experience instructing Canadian Red Cross accredited courses and offers a unique and lively teaching style that will keep participants engaged throughout the course, walking away with confidence in their new (or refreshed) skills. Nieve is now also certified as a Blended Learning Instructor, offering part online, part in-class training.
Jessica has been instructing for VFA for five years, and teaching first aid for seven years. She brings her broad-based health care knowledge to our team, as a Registered Nurse in long-term care, and an Oxford County Volunteer Firefighter for the past eight years.
William has been teaching with VFA since the spring of 2012, and boasts instruction of several Red Cross accredited training courses, including Emergency Medical Responder and First Responder. As an active member of a nearby university response team, he brings ample first-hand experience and knowledge to his courses.
Mike joined Vantage in the spring of 2013. Currently pursuing a combined Nursing/Health Sciences degree, Mike is an active Emergency Response Team member, enjoys reading, and going on adventures with his dog, Lou.
Rachel joined the Vantage team the summer of 2013. An active response team member and registered nurse in a local Critical Care Unit, Rachel's engaging presentations and broad knowledge of First Aid, injuries and treatment are sure to have you gaining your certification with confidence in your skills.
Leah has been working with Vantage since the spring of 2013. Leah's keen attention to detail and passion for instructing children has helped her to hone her Babysitting course instruction skills.
Pardis - is a passionate educator, who has been teaching with VFA since July of 2014. As an Emergency Medical Responder, paired with an extensive teaching background, Pardis uses her experience to engage students and build both confidence and competence in their First Aid responding skills.
Matthew - Matt is currently in school, training to become a paramedic. Since June of 2015, Matt has been using his considerable talent for teaching to instruct programs for Vantage, but has been teaching CRC programs for 4 years. He enjoys the outdoors and backpacking, as well as rock climbing and sleeping. Matt forgot to mention one of his biggest attributes when submitting his bio for this page -- his amazing sense of humour!
